Marshall Stars With Arm and Bat to Help John Glenn Advance

DUNCAN FALLS, OH – It’s no secret that John Glenn continues to dominate on the softball diamond, year in and year out.

Coming off their fourth straight sectional championship in Division II, the Lady Muskies were looking to get back to a regional title for the third time in four seasons after missing out a year ago. The number two-seed in the Region 7, East 1 bracket, John Glenn shutout third-ranked Morgan, six to nothing behind star player Sydney Marshall.

On the mound, she was absolutely filthy with eight strikeouts, no walks, and allowing just four hits in the complete game performance. Then with the bat, she’s just as deadly! Four runs batted in for the game including a third inning two-run home run, as she led the Lady Muskies to the victory in Duncan Falls.

John Glenn gets back to the regional championship game and will face top-seeded Dover for that crown on Wednesday over at Indian Valley high school in Gnadenhutten.
