Mattingly Hiring Drivers – But What Does It Mean?

It’s been a rough few months for the employees of the Mattingly Food Company in Zanesville. In a major blow to the food company it lost its biggest account – Bob Evans Restaurants. That is around 60 percent of its business and will mean layoffs in about 6 months affecting 250 employees. But now Whiz News has learned that Mattingly’s is going to run a newspaper ad looking for 20 new truck drivers. The big question is whether this means the company is close to landing a new account or is it just trying to re-stock drivers who have left the company recently looking for new jobs. Mattingly officials will not return calls to Whiz News about this latest development.
