Mayor Tilton Shows His Appreciation

Zanesville city workers and officials from the around the county are being rewarded for their work in the community.

Mayor Jeff Tilton held the annual Mayor’s Luncheon at the Secrest Auditorium today. The relaxed atmosphere of a cookout allowed the Mayor to show his appreciation for the hard work of all those that work inside city government. 

"The mayors have done it once a year, I think it’s a great thing, it’s just a way to say thanks to the employees for the great job they do," said Mayor Tilton.

This is Mayor Tilton’s first time hosting, he was pleased by the turnout

"I would like to see more but it’s still early yet. It’s noon and we’ve got two more hours but so far the crowd’s been very good, it’s just a great day," said Mayor Tilton.

The luncheon was attended by County Commissioners, Zanesville law enforcement and the Fire Department. Officials say they appreciated the free lunch.
