Maysville Pike Fatal Accident Update

The South Zanesville Police Department Monday released the name of the fatally injury victim from an accident late last week.  It happened on the Maysville Pike near Coconis Furniture Friday afternoon and involved a pick-up truck and a motorcycle.  Chief Eric Finley says the motorcycle rider who died in the accident is identified as 48-year-old Dwight Reynolds of 4550 North Leedom Road in Chandlersville.  Chief Finley says the driver of the truck is identified as 74-year-old John Craven of 106 Van Sant Street in Zanesville.  The Chief says due to the severity of the crash it remains under investigation.  No other details are being released at this time.  On Friday Whiz News reported that a J&R Electric truck collided with a motorcycle that was part of a funeral procession.  Reynolds was taken by medical helicopter to Good Samaritan Hospital where he later died. Craven was also transported to the hospital for treatment.
