MCCF 2026 Big Give is Underway!
ZANESVILLE, OH – The Muskingum County Community Foundation’s Big Give has returned to help out 13 non-profit organizations here in the community.
The Big Give kicked off on Monday, the 14th and runs until September 28th.
MCCF CEO, Brian Wagner, says the goal of the Big Give is to help these non-profits build long-term financial strength through donations from community members as well as from MCCF themselves.
“It’s a concerted effort for non-profits in our community to try to raise money to place in their endowment funds and the dollars that go into the endowment funds will then be used by those non-profits over the next multiple years, to be able to benefit their programs and their projects.” Wagner said. “What MCCF is doing is, we have a pool set aside that we’ll be abel to grant directly into those organizations who are able to hit a couple of benchmarks, raise some dollars and those dollars can be placed inot the endowment or they can be used directly to support their programs, right here and now.”
Wagner says the participating organizations for the 2026 Big Give represent a wide range of causes including youth development, education, literacy, housing, the arts and culture, community service, as well as animal welfare.
He added that contributions made towards these organziations during this will be receiving $50,000 in matching funds from MCCF.

“The Big Give is something that we’ve wanted to do for a while, as a way to build endowments. A lot of the non-profits in our community are so busy addressing the immediate needs of the clients that they work with and the causes and programs that they support.” Wagner said. “But they don’t get an opportunity to think about, hey, how do we keep this going in then next 5, 10, 20 years? That’s what endowments do, endowments allow them to have a steady steam of dollars coming into their organizations to be able to continue to do that work.”
