MCCF hosts College Night at OUZ

Zanesville, Ohio- Students had a chance to get college ready this evening.

The Muskingum County Community Foundation hosted their 11th annual College Night at OUZ Campus. AmeriCorps Ohio College Guide, Christy Rahrig, notes this is the biggest event of the year for college hopefuls.

“College night is probably the biggest event of the year when it comes to all things regarding admissions, financial aid, scholarship opportunities, and college life experiences.”

Students also had the opportunity to ease some of the college expense.

“This year we are giving away 33 scholarships. Many of them are going towards local high school students. A lot of them are for local high schools some of them are just general scholarships provided by the community. So we are very thankful for the generosity of others to provide financial aid for upcoming college bound students.”

Each scholarship was 250 dollars totaling 8,250 dollars given to local students.
