McKee Tabbed River View Football Head Coach

WARSAW, OH

The Black Bears have found the new coach to lead their football program in Tyler McKee, as voted on by the school board on Tuesday night.

McKee graduated from River View in 2007 after playing on the team for four years under then coach Jeff Cook. McKee most recently served as an assistant to former head coach Thom Lesiecki, who oversaw the Black Bears program for three years with a 4-25 overall record.

In a statement, McKee says “As a proud alumnus of River View and a coach for a total of 13 years, I am not simply interested in this program, but rather, invested in this program.”

McKee goes on to state that he has coached at every level beginning with first and second grade flag football for River View, including stepping in as an interim coach at one point.

“We are very excited to have Mr. Tyler McKee as our new Head Football coach for Black Bear Nation” said superintendent Chuck Rinkes.

“Tyler has a plan to build this program from the ground up. We believe that Tyler has what it takes to get student-athletes on the field, compete at a high level and eventually turn this program into a success both on the field and off the field.

McKee still resides in the Warsaw area with his wife Chelsea and their three children, all of whom are in the River View local school system.
