MCLS to Host Author Andrew Welsh-Huggins
ZANESVILLE, OH – The Muskingum County Library System is getting ready to host a local Author at their Duncan Falls/ Philo Branch.
Andrew Welsh-Huggins is an award nominated, mystery and crime author based out of Columbus.
Sean Fennell, the Marketing and Community Relations Director with MLCS, said that Welsh-Huggins will be talking about his 8th book in his Andy Hayes Mystery Series, entitled Sick to Death.
Fennell said that they love to have the opportunity to have local authors come in and speak with community members about the different genres of books.
“This is a really wonderful opportunity to kind of meet a big name in Columbus, for Columbus authors,” Fennell explained. “And come together as a community and just kind of celebrate reading and have the opportunity to speak to the author, the person that develops the types of material that we have all through our buildings.”
This visit with an author event is geared towards adults but older teens are also welcome with parental supervision.
Fennell said if you’re a fan of mystery books then this will be the perfect event for you.
“It is a big book for fans of mystery for example, this would be a really wonderful book to come in and kind of experience if you haven’t either,” Fennell said. “It’s also just, we want to promote our local authors as much as we can. We find that it’s a really important thing and you know he is from Columbus, it’s not that far away, so he’s able to just pop over and come to our Duncan Falls/ Philo Branch Library.”
There are still spots available for the visit with an author program, which will take place on Wednesday, Oct. 23rd from 5:30 to 6:30PM.
To register, you can head to the Muskingum County Library System’s website.
