MRC raises money for local breast cancer patients

ZANESVILLE, Ohio- The Muskingum  Recreation Center spent the month of October helping the fight for the cure.
Executive Director, Beth Chapman, said they had a car wash, raffles, as well as group exercise classes for donations.
“The Muskingum Rec. Center is a local company and we wanted to do something locally to help out people dealing with cancer ,” said Chapman.
The center had raffles set up all month where prizes were donations from area businesses.
“So we wanted to raise money for Genesis Cancer Services so that local folks that are dealing with breast cancer could have some additional funds necessary for them if they needed prosthetics, wigs, etcetera,” said Chapman.
The center raised a total of over $1,000 for Genesis Cancer Services.
