Meet Becca and Morris!: This Week’s Lovable Pets of the Week

ZANESVILLE, OH – This week the Animal Shelter Society is shining the light on a cuddly brother and sister duo.

Meet Becca and Morris! They are 10-month-old domestic shorthair cats who are up to date on their vaccines, spayed and neutered, and do well with other animals.

Rebecca Hunt, the Animal Care Manager at the Animal Shelter, says these two came in as strays with their other two sisters and brother.

She said because of them coming in as strays, it may take a little extra time for them to come around.

“They’re very sweet, they’re just a little nervous,” Hunt said. “So I think, somebody who is going to take their time and understand they might be a little skittish to start out.”

Hunt also wanted to remind all pet owners that with the start of flea and tick season here, it’s a good time to get with your vet to make sure your furry friends are protected.

“We’ve seen fleas all winter, they haven’t gone away,” Hunt said. “We do the once a month wellness clinic here for flea prevention, tick prevention, and heartworm. So I think it’s important that if it’s not through us, through our wellness clinic, to get with your vet to get good flea and tick prevention to keep your animals protected.”
