Meet Chef!; This Week’s Dog of the Week

ZANESVILLE, OH – This week’s Dog of the Week is cooking up a load of cuddles for his forever family.

Meet Chef! Chef is a 2-year-old, terrier mix who’s neutered, up to date on his shots, keeps a clean kennel and is patiently waiting for his perfect “crew”.

Doug McQuaid, a Volunteer at the Muskingum County K-9 Adoption Center, said Chef does well with kids and is very friendly with other dogs.

“He is very active,” McQuaid said. “He would need to go with a family that loves to go for walks, he would love just to do many things but you need to keep him active so that way he’ll calm down and do kind of what he’s doing now.”

McQuaid also wants pet owners to keep safety in mind, especially during colder weather events.

He said to double check that your pet has adequate shelter, food, and water if they are going to be outside.

“If something like food is what you’re needing, so your dog doesn’t get left behind without that, we have our food bank full,” McQuaid said. “We would love to give food to you and if you’re someone who would even like to donate to the food bank, maybe you don’t even have a dog and just like animals, that’d be great too.”

If you’re interested in adopting Chef or donating some food, you can reach out to the K-9 Adoption Center at 740-453-0273.
