ZANESVILLE,Ohio- This week we get to meet a new four-legged furry friend.

One year old Lab mix, Diana is this weeks pet of the week. She has been at the shelter since June and is ready to find a forever home.

Executive Director of the Animal Shelter Society, Jody Murray, said this energetic pup is neutered and up to date on her shots. According to Murray, Diana is very responsive to training and is a friendly dog who loves to be around people.

“We had her out at Zane State a couple weeks ago and she did great out there interacting with the students,” said Murray.

Diana went through the cell dog program, a program through the partnership of the Animal Shelter Society and correctional facilities in Noble County and Hocking county.

“The inmates there are trained to train the dogs, so they go and teach them to be crate trained, how to walk on a leash, just all those basic behavior things,” said Murray.

Diana’s adoption fee is $125.
