Meet Duffy!: This Week’s Dog of the Week
ZANESVILLE, OH -This week’s Dog of the Week is a gentle giant.
Meet Duffy! He’s a 2-year-old terrier mix who’s neutered, up to date on his vaccinations, and is ready for his forever family.
Doug McQuaid, a Volunteer at the K-9 Adoption Center, says Duffy is dog friendly and does well with everyone he meets but due to his age and size, Duffy would need to be with an active family.
“He loves playing in our play yard where he can run around and that’s very important for a dog this size and this age.” McQuaid said. “The more exercise they get the easier it is for them to do many things, they stay calm and it makes it better for everything, for them and ourselves as well.”
McQuaid is also urging pet wonders to use extra caution as the dog days of summer begin.
He says to make sure you’re bringing your pet in when you can and providing them with fresh, cool drinking water.
McQuaid also says if you’re planning on heading to the Fair, to add them to your list of places to check out.
“Another great thing, we’re at the Fair!” McQuaid said. “We’ll be there the rest of this week, we’re right inside the front gate at the Sheriff’s tent. We have pictures of our dogs that are up for adoption, it’s always a pleasure talking to you, and we’d love to see you.”
There are also still t-shirts available in all sizes and colors for $5 at the Adoption Center.
