Meet Fidget! This Week’s Dog of the Week

ZANESVILLE, OH – This week’s dog of the week really lives up to his name.

Meet Fidget! He is a 5-month-old puppy who loves everyone he comes across.

Doug McQuaid, a Volunteer at the Muskingum County K-9 Adoption Center, said Fidget is a big fan of getting treats, would do well with kids, and is searching for his forever family.

He also said to keep in mind that Fidget is still a puppy, so he would need a family that would be there to work with him.

“Just always remember though, he is a puppy, so he’s going to have a little bit of structure and routine and a little bit of time and patience,” McQuaid said. “That’s what it takes but this guy right here, I think you got it all going on here right from the get go once you take that in mind. Please remember what we’re looking at here, I mean he could get up to 30 pounds, he could get up to 60, we’re not really sure because we don’t know the breed.”

McQuaid also said they’re looking for volunteers to work with animals like Fidget.

He said by working with and fostering the animals, it gives other staff members a better idea of what home will work for each dog.

“The weather is starting to get a little better, I know the rain is always with us, but we have a wonderful shelter house, we have a big play area that’s all fenced in,” McQuaid said. “You can let a dog run, play frisbee, throw the ball, we have seats you can sit on, we always like ti when your whole family comes, all who’s going to be involved with the dog, is who we would like to come and interact with them, that way you see first hand what you’re actually getting.”
