Meet Indy: This Weeks Dog of the Week

ZANESVILLE, OH – Get ready to fall in love with this week’s dog of the week.

The Muskingum County K9 Adoption Center would like you to meet Indy. She’s a 5-year-old German Shepheard and Boxer mix. This lovely lady does well with kids, other dogs, and cats.

Doug McQuaid, K9 Adoption Center Volunteer shares Indy’s story.

“How we actually got her, her owner passed away, so she’s been with someone for a long time which is great, so she loves a lot of affection. She would do good just sitting beside of you watching tv, maybe sitting beside of you on the couch, just being with people is very important to her, I’m sure.”

Indy has been at the adoption center for less than a week and would like to find a new home. She is spayed and is known to keep her kennel very clean. She’s described as an all-around joy to be around.

“We’re trying to teach her a few commands, she’ll sit and we’re trying to get her to shake, so she does know a few things like that so like I said, with her being with someone for that amount of time, I’m sure they tried to work with her as well,” McQuaid said.

Indy loves to go for walks and enjoys the company of people. For more information on adopting or fostering a furry friend, visit the K9 Adoption Centers website.
