Animal Shelter Society’s Pet of the Week: Meet Kringle

ZANESVILLE, OH – This Week’s Pet of the Week is small but has a lot of love to give.

Meet Kringle! He’s a 5-month-old terrier mix who’s neutered, up to date on his vaccinations, and is ready to find a forever home. Rebecca Hunt, the Animal Care Manager at the Animal Shelter Society, said Kringle came in as a stray about two months ago with a very lovable personality.

“I don’t know how he hasn’t belonged to anybody, as you can tell he’s super sweet,” Hunt said. “He is a terrier mix, I would assume maybe some Yorkie, Jack-Russell terrier, not 100% sure, it’s a guessing game for us.”

Hunt said Kringle has a very sweet disposition but has a lot of energy because he’s still a puppy. Kringle’s even visited some of the assisted living facilities around the community. He was a big hit with the residents.

“He’s been going with one of our staff members and he just loves all the attention,” Hunt said. “He’s very calm, but he can also play as well, so he would be fine with kids in my opinion. I think he would be fine with anybody, he does like other dogs, doesn’t seem to mind cats that much up here, but again each household is different so we don’t know what’s going to happen. He is just fun and he does not mind the snow.”

The Animal Shelter Society also wants to remind pet owners to bring them indoors, if able, due to the harsh winter weather we’ve been facing. If you can’t bring them indoors, make sure they have shelter, food, and fresh, unfrozen water.

If you are interested in adopting Kringle you can head to the Animal Shelter Society’s website.
