Meet Scruffy, The New Pet Of The Week

In efforts to continue finding homes for homeless pets, the animal shelter has a new pet of the week.

Meet scruffy, hes a one year old terrier mix who came to the shelter just a few weeks ago. Since hes a fairly new arrival his adoption fee is 135 dollars but he would make the perfect little addition to any family says executive director of the animal shelter Jody Murray.

“He’s just a lovable little guy if you’re looking for a small dog that’s friendly, gets along with people, gets along with other animals scruffy would be a good pick for that” Murray continues.

The animal shelter would like to invite everyone to their annual charity auction October 10th at Eaglesticks golf course. Doors open at 5 p.m. There will be a limited amount of tickets available at the door so be sure to call the shelter to reserve yours now.

“We’ll have a great meal by Eaglesticks, we’re going to have a great dessert provided by Tom’s Ice Cream and then we have some businesses that have supported the shelter so we encourage people to come and be a part of that” Murray said.

Of course the event will include a live and silent auction. There will be something for everyone Murray says so be sure to come out and support a great cause.
