Meet These Adorable Pets of the Week: Smokey, Becca, Liz, & Azrael

ZANESVILLE, OH – This week the Animal Shelter Society is shining the light on four adorable siblings.

Meet Smokey, Becca, Liz and Azrael!

These 3-month-old domestic shorthair kittens are spayed and neutered, up-to-date on their vaccinations, and are eagerly awaiting their forever homes.

April Gibson, the Executive Director of the Animal Shelter Society, says these four were bottle fed when they came to the Shelter, which created a special bond between the pairs.

“They’re two and two, they kind of split, which is very unique,” Gibson said. “And we would like to have them adopted. Smokey here is very attached to [Becca], it’s healthier sometimes to make sure that we do that.”

The community is also invited to the Animal Shelter’s first, but certainly not last, outdoor concert, “Music for Mutts.”

The TDT Party Band will perform on Wednesday, June 12 , starting at 6 PM. There’s a $20 cover charge per person, with all proceeds benefiting the shelter’s furry residents.

Gibson says she encourages everyone attending the event to relax and enjoy the evening.

“There’s no auction, nothing like that,” Gibson said. “Just come and join us and do a 50/50 and just sit and relax. You can bring your own adult beverages, if you so choose. Just make sure we don’t bring it in glass.”
