Meet this Week’s Dog of the Week: Stella Sue

ZANESVILLE, OH – This week’s Dog of the Week just wants to find her perfect cuddle buddy.

Meet Stella Sue! Stella Sue is a 6-year-old terrier mix that is spayed, dog friendly, and does well with children. Doug McQuaid, a Volunteer at the K-9 Adoption Center, said Stella Sue can be shy at first but will become a lap dog with some attention and affection. He also called Stella Sue the total package all wrapped into one. 

“She loves affection and would do good with anybody,” McQuaid said. “As you can tell, maybe someone who would like to have someone sit beside you on the couch.”

McQuaid also wants to make sure other furry friends from around the community are warm during these colder months. 

“With the brutal temperatures and the windchill, please be very mindful of your pet,” McQuaid said. “Make sure they have adequate shelter, preferably use straw for bedding, as well as providing food and water. So many times, people don’t realize that your pet will actually consume twice as much water in the winter as opposed to the other months.”
