Meet Wookie: This Week’s Dog of the Week

ZANESVILLE, OH – This Week’s Dog of the Week could be a distant cousin of Chewbacca.

Meet Wookie! He’s a 3-year-old husky mix who’s neutered, up to date on his vaccinations, and is searching the far and wide galaxy to find his forever home.

Doug McQuaid, a Volunteer with the K-9 Adoption Center, says Wookie would need to be the only dog in the home but appears to do well with everyone he meets.

“A dog like this would need to be brushed daily.” McQuaid said. “You need to have proper grooming to be able to keep his hair and fur in proper place because you don’t want a dog like this to get matted and all tangled up to where it becomes a fight to be able to pull the hair and to get him untangled.”

McQuaid also says they also have food to give away to the public and to keep an eye out on their social media pages this fall.

He says they will be posting every day about some fun and upcoming events happening very soon.
