Meet Zara: This Week’s Dog of the Week

ZANESVILLE, OH – This week’s dog of the week is the total package all wrapped into one.

Meet Zara! She is a cattle dog mix who’s spayed, up to date on her vaccinations and loves affection.

Doug McQuaid, a Volunteer at the K-9 Adoption Center, said Zara loves to go on walks and car rides, so she would do well with an active family. McQuaid also said she even has a few tricks up her sleeve.

“We found out what’s so neat about Zara is she knows how to sit, roll over, shake a paw, just multiple commands,” McQuaid said. “It’s pretty neat, we got a great package all in one.”

McQuaid also said the shelter is currently full.  He’s urging the public to double check if your furry friend is missing.

“If you maybe lost your pet or something of that nature, please call us or stop by,” McQuaid said. “If we don’t have your dog, you can provide a description of them or the vicinity where they were lost. Our mission everyday is to get all dogs reclaimed.”

McQuaid said there is also dog food available for free at the Adoption Center for anyone who needs it.
