Michael Eugene Cummins (June 25, 1960 – September 30, 2010)

Michael Eugene Cummins, 50, of Zanesville passed away on Thursday September 30, 2010 at Genesis Hospice Morrison House after a 9 month courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Zanesville on June 25, 1960 to the late Clayton Eugene and Josephine Roe Cummins. He was the owner and agent for the past 27 years of The Cummins Insurance Agency a family owned agency for more than 50 years. A member of the Professional Insurance Agents, Independent Insurance Agents and the Elks Lodge.
He is survived by his loving wife Kellie Phillis Cummins of Zanesville, a son Clayton Michael Cummins of Zanesville, two daughters Kaleigh Ann Cummins of Zanesville and Kelsey May Cummins of Zanesville. His three sisters; Lynn L. Pettry of Zanesville, Vicki J. (Joseph) Cummins-Farkas of Zanesville and Beth A. (Wayne) Farley of Zanesville. His In-laws George (Barbara) Phillis of Zanesville Brother and Sister-in-laws Linda (Mike ) Haren of Zanesville, Jay (Lori) Phillis of Zanesville, Doug Phillis of Cincinnati, Harry A. Nelson Jr. of Zanesville, Several nieces, nephews , great-nieces, great-nephews, and many faithful friends. His Beloved pets Buster and Lucy Lou.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister Sondra J. Nelson.
Visitation will be held on Sunday October 3, 2010 from 2-4 & 6-8PM at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME 1150 W. MILITARY ROAD ZANESVILLE.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday October 4, 2010 at 1pm in the Snouffer Funeral home Chapel with Jon McCarty officiating. Burial will follow in the Williams Cemetery.
