Michael “Mike” A. Holbert

Michael “Mike” A. Holbert, 62 of Zanesville, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on March 12, 2023.

He was born on August 26, 1960, in Zanesville, Ohio, son of Richard “Harley” Holbert and Goldie Lucille (Moore) Holbert. Mike worked at Praxair (Linde) since 1985. In his spare time, he loved coaching little league baseball and football, playing men’s slow pitch softball, enjoyed berry picking and mushroom hunting, and watching his Ohio State Buckeyes. Above all, he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandsons.

He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Tonya Holbert; daughter, Megan (Jeff) Yingling; son, Shane (Ky) Holbert; father, Richard “Harley” Holbert; sisters, Kim (Ray) Cook, Kelley (Jim) Settles; brothers, Mark Holbert, Matt Holbert; grandchildren, Meison Smith, Grayson and Gavin Yingling, Ridge Holbert; mother and father-in-law, Steve and Brenda Harding; sister-in-laws, Denise Hatcher, Michelle “Mic” Clark, and Shawna (Alan) Smith; cousins, nieces, nephews; and special cat, Bella.

In addition to his grandparents, he is preceded in death by his mother, Goldie Lucille (Moore) Holbert; and sister, Kathy Holbert.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday March 15, 2023, from 2:00 – 4:00 PM & 6:00 – 8:00 PM at DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home. Services will be held on Thursday March 16, 2023, at 11:00 AM at DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home with Pastor Adam Wahl officiating. Burial will follow services at Williams Cemetery.
