Mildred Irene Willis (November 5, 1928 – July 8, 2011)

Mildred Irene Willis, 82, of Zanesville, died at 3:05 a.m. Friday, July 8, 2011 at her residence. She was born November 5, 1928, in Hopewell, OH, a daughter of the late Ray and Nettie Berry Sciance. She worked as an account analyst for NCR and previously worked for Morrison Pontiac & Cadillac. She was a member of Trinity United Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed baking and loved spending time with her family and grandchildren.

Surviving are her husband of 34 years, C. Paul Willis, whom she married May 28, 1977, of the home; three daughters, Marilyn Royer of Zanesville, Dona Shakley of Columbus and Karen Hoff of Zanesville; three grandchildren, Lisa Thrasher of Galloway, Joshua James Hoff of Columbus and Jamie Lee Hoff of Zanesville; a step-daughter, Jean (Reid) Wurtzbacher of West Virginia; two step-sons, Paul R. (Susan) Willis and Robert D. (Judy) Willis, both of Columbus; five step-grandchildren; six step great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Charles, Donald and Harold (Bud) Sciance.

Friends and family may call from 2-6 p.m. Sunday, July 10, 2011 at the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Ave., Zanesville. Funeral services will be held at 9:00 a.m. Monday, July 11, 2011 at the funeral home with Chaplain Tim Patton officiating. Mildred will be laid to rest at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery.
