Momma the Navigator

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – The Muskingum County K-9 Adoption Center always has a four-legged companion waiting for a new home and now being fully moved into their new facility on the East Pike adopters can more easily meet the dog they want to welcome into their family.
K-9 Adoption Center Volunteer Doug McQuaid introduced us to Momma, a very friendly bulldog, who navigates either when leashed to a harness or when she’s just riding shotgun.
“Today, we have Momma,” McQuaid said. “She’s approximately 4 to 5-years-old, is house broken, crate trained, and does well with dogs, kids, and cats. She has medium energy, walks well on a harness and rides very well in a car. This is kind of the list that everyone is looking for out of a dog. You really don’t get this often but this dog happens to be that one.”
McQuaid announced the K-9 Adoption Center is open 7 days a week and discussed some of the advantages the new facility has to offer.
“You can go to our website to see our hours. We are doing the walk throughs now where the public is allowed to walk through the building and look at all of our dogs and if there is a particular dog that you see on our website that you want to truly come in and just maybe look at that dog, let us know when you come and if you do happen to have another dog we do require you make an appointment so your dog and our dog get along and we will gladly get you fixed up,” McQuaid said.
