Mother Of Dead Baby Interviewed

The Muskingum County Sheriff’s Office is releasing some new information in connection with the dead baby found at Muskingum University. Captain Jeff LeCocq says detectives have now spoken to the birth mom. But no details of the conversation are being released other than she is a student at the University.
LeCocq says his investigators are still awaiting results of an autopsy on the newborn baby. The baby was discovered shortly after 9 p.m. Wednesday at 125 Lakeside drive on the campus. The is the second time a dead baby has been discovered on the Muskingum University campus. It happened in 2002 when the newborn was discovered in a dumpster and the mother was convicted and sentenced to prison.
