Motorcycle Accident Leaves Rider in Critical Condition
A Nashport man is in critical condition Wednesday night following a motorcycle accident on State Route 60 just south of Fairview Road.
Trooper Joshua Weaver with the Zanesville Post of the Highway Patrol said just after 8 p.m., Ryan Hannahs, 32, was heading north on State Route 60, when he negotiated a left-hand curve, went off the right-hand side of the roadway and hit a road sign. Hannahs was then ejected from the motorcycle as a result of the impact.
Weaver said Hannahs suffered serious injuries and was transported to Genesis by Falls Township medics. From there, he was med-flighted to Grant Medical Center in Columbus, where he remains in critical condition.
Weaver said speed and alcohol were not factors in the crash, but Hannahs was not wearing a helmet and is not a licensed motorcyclist. The accident remains under investigation.
