Motorcycle Rider Cited After Fatal Accident
Zanesville Police today released the name of the second motorcycle rider involved in a high speed fatal accident on Linden Avenue this past weekend.
Detective Randy Ritchason says 21-year-old Adam McPherson of South Zanesville has been cited for reckless operation and operating a motorcycle without a helmet.
Ritchason says McPherson estimated that he and 20-year-old Darrin Leopold were traveling in tandem at 110 miles per hour at the time of the crash.
Police say Leopold attempted to pass a car on the left hand side while the car was turning left into a parking lot by Forest Avenue and slammed into the vehicle early Sunday morning.
McPherson was not injured.
