Motorcyclist Seriously Injured Near Chauncey

A man is seriously injured after an accident near Chauncey in Athens County.

It happened around 3:30 p.m. on State Route 550.

State troopers say 46-year-old Michael Waller was traveling west on his motorcycle, when the vehicle overturned and ejected him.

Waller was taken by MedFlight to Grant Medical Center in Columbus with what troopers are calling serious injuries.

They say alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the crash. It remains under investigation.
