Motorcyclists Gear Up for Annual Toy Ride in Zanesville

ZANESVILLE, OH – Motorcyclists are revving up their engines this weekend, but this ride is all about making Christmas a little brighter for local kids.

The Motorcyclists for Kids Toy Ride is rolling into Zanesville this Saturday, November 7th! Riders and community members are invited to gather at Walmart North on Maple Avenue between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. The goal is to collect toys and donations to help make the holiday season special for children in need.

“This is our 30th annual Motorcyclists for Kids Toy Ride. It’s a time where we gather all of the motorcyclists right here in Zanesville and surrounding areas to gather toys and monetary donations for the underprivileged children right here in Muskingum County and surrounding communities.” Pastor Michael McGuire with the Rushing Wind Biker Church said.

At 2 o’clock, the motorcyclists will hit the road, delivering the collected gifts and donations to the Salvation Army on Putnam Avenue. Organizers encourage everyone to join in, whether they’re riding on two wheels or simply stopping by to spread a little Christmas cheer.

“We’re excited to have the community come, bring some toys, purchase some toys right here at Walmart North and we’ll gather them up with a parade at 2 p.m. to the Salvation Army and disperse everything there.” Pastor McGuire said.

Those wanting to participate can bring new, unwrapped toys or monetary donations to Walmart North, located at 2850 Maple Avenue in Zanesville.
