Mr. Reed, A Good Boy Up for Adoption This Week

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – This week’s Animal Shelter Society’s pet of the week is Reed!
He is 6 years old and was surrendered to the shelter a few months ago.
He is a terrier mix, is very friendly and does well around all ages.
April Cohagen-Gibson, the General Manager of the shelter says that Reed is ready to be adopted.
“He’s gotten a clean bill of health. He’s neutered, completely vaccinated, and he’s ready to go. He’s a sweet boy. He does well in car rides, he likes any type of family. Either seniors or with kids and he loves to walk,” she said.

Yesterday evening, the Animal Shelter Society had their 6th Annual ‘Yappy Hour.’
The event was held at the Zanesville Country Club and the shelter said that they were overwhelmed with support from the community.
“When we receive support into the animal shelter, it’s not just the financial portion of it. Because as a nonprofit, that’s what we depend on. It’s the fact that our community is believing in our mission, that they trust in what we’re doing. And that means a great deal,” she mentioned to us.
The Animal Shelter society will also be receiving a donation from 100+ Women Who Care on May 19th.
Reed and other animals up for adoption are listed on the shelter’s website.
