Mr. Scrooge

The Secrest Auditorium in downtown Zanesville is showing one, final Christmas show for the year.

The Columbus children’s theater out of Columbus Ohio is performing their Christmas comedy, Mr. Scrooge, which was brought to Zanesville by Dusty Guitar Promotions. Owner Darren Tigner, says this is a great show for the entire family to enjoy right before the holidays begin.

"Really excited to have it, it’s geared towards kids kindergarten through 5th grade, but it’s really a chance for the community to come out and kind of experience the Dickens Christmas Carol and we’re only a few days from Christmas and it’s a really exciting time."

The first show was held at 3 P.M this afternoon, and they have a second performance this evening at 7 P.M. Tigner says tickets are only 10 dollars and the majority of the profits will go right back into the community.

"Majority of the tickets that have been sold for both of these shows were sold by area nonprofit organizations, so they were actually making a percentage of all the ticket sales that they sold. So, a lot of the money that was raised today goes back into the nonprofit, so it’s really exciting."

It’s not too late to purchase your ticket for the 7 o’clock show tonight, just stop by the Secrest Auditorium box office.
