Muggsey looking to steal your heart

Muggsey is a three year old beagle mix, and he’s been at the Animal Shelter for two weeks now.

Executive Director of the Shelter, Jody Murray said Muggsey is a very friendly dog who would be good for a family with young kids. Muggsey is available for a reduced adoption fee of $75 and is up to date on all of his vaccinations.

“Very likable little guy, staff here thinks that he’s pretty well crate trained because he responds to taking him outside, so that’s a plus for him,” Murray said. “But just somebody that I think would adapt to a family really quick and make a great inside dog for someone.”

We met Muggsey outside on the edge of an addition to the Animal Shelter’s back patio. Murray said the new addition makes it easier for shelter workers to move around, and it even speeds up the daily cleaning process.

“We had an area out back here that we used when we do our cleaning and it’s just going to make it a lot easier for staff to walk around,” Murray said. “It was almost a ledge there where the concrete ended before so another example of where the community supports the shelter.”

Also, on May 2, Murray said the Animal Shelter is having its 2nd annual indoor flea market at the West Main Street bingo hall.
