Muskies Celebrate State Championship, Parade Planned

The John Glenn Muskies made history this weekend and brought home a State Championship in boys basketball.

Now that the hard work is over, it’s time to celebrate! Principal Steve Brooks has been with the high school for 17 years. He said he wants to be sure to give the team the proper party to celebrate their victory

"Well it’s a big deal,’ said Brooks. "Obviously the first State Championship in John Glenn High School in any sport so we want to make sure that we give our community the opportunity to join us in celebrating."

The festivities will start with a parade through New Concord Wednesday evening at 6 p.m. and lead up to a rally at John Glenn High School at 7 p.m.

"The parade will begin on the east side of New Concord at 6 p.m.," said Brooks. "So we’ll be moving through New Concord. Certainly we’d like to have as many people along the parade route as possible."

Brooks said he is happy to see support coming from the New Concord community and the M.V.L Conference.
