Muskingum Behavioral Health Finds New CEO

ZANESVILLE, Ohio-Muskingum Behavioral Health has found longtime CEO Steve Carrel’s replacement.
That replacement is current Chief Operations Officer Yolanda Taylor. She has worked for Muskingum Behavioral Health for five years prior to the promotion.
“Very humbled, but excited about starting a new journey and new path and moving forward… just carrying on the legacy that Steve has started over the last forty years, of keeping the agency within the community, serving the community, and the needs of the community.”, Taylor said of the opportunity.
Carrel has seen Taylor as his replacement since he personally hired her. He’s excited to see the improvements she makes when she assumes the role.
“I’m excited to pass on the job of the CEO. I’ve been the CEO for forty years, I’m the one and only CEO that MBH has ever had, and I think Yolanda is gonna bring a different flavor, different tone. She’s already identified some strengths of ours that we haven’t capitalized on.”, Carrel told WHIZ.
Taylor will officially assume the role on June 1st and Carrel will formally retire on September 3rd.
