Muskingum County Center for Seniors Day at the Fair
ZANESVILLE, OH – The Muskingum County Center for Seniors and some of their regulars took a trip to the Fair.
The Center brought everything they offer in their regular building to the Fairgrounds today so that the Seniors could enjoy interacting with the community and seeing all the Fair had to offer.
Kate Paul, the Executive Director of the Center for Seniors, says they even partnered with YMCA to bring out Y On the Fly with some fun activities for everyone.
“We had a lot of fun with Y On the Fly,” Paul said. “Y on the Fly was drumming, cardio drumming, we got to drum and dance and make a lot of noise, it was a lot of fun.”
The Center also brought in the Dancing Divas and the Seniors participated in line dancing and karaoke.
Seniors 60 years and over were able to get into the Fair for free until 5PM and Paul says they took full advantage of coming out for some friendship, good food, and fair fun.
“It’s fun to see them out and about outside of the 4 walls of the Center,” Paul said. “We have so much fun at the Center, but it’s fun to see them here. They’re enjoying the day, enjoying the nice weather, enjoying the fair food, and just having a lot of fun. It’s priceless, we have fun and laughter, people are seeing people they haven’t seen for a while.”
