Muskingum County Center for Seniors is Thrilled as Levy Passes

ZANESVILLE, OH – The Muskingum County Center for Seniors is all smiles after the passing of a 0.5-mill levy.
The levy, which was passed on November 7th, marks an achievement for seniors in our community. The new funding will allow the Senior Center to expand their services and enhance the quality of life for their senior members.
“We are excited. We’re very grateful for the community support. It was a long night, but it was a great night to hear the results. We’re very excited,” Center for Seniors Executive Director Kate Paul said.
The levy’s passing ensures that the center will be able to grow and meet the needs of their home delivery meal programs. One local senior citizen, Harvey McMahan, commented on the importance of the Senior Center and its role in his life.
“There’s a lot of good people down here. We have a lot of fun no matter what we’re doing. There’s a lot of stuff to do. There’s more to do down here than what you think, and it gets you off the couch and lets you enjoy life,” Friend at the Center for Seniors McMahan said.
The Center for Seniors is excited to take full advantage of this opportunity to bring a fulfilling future for senior citizens.
