Muskingum County Chamber of Commerce Offers Several Programs To Help Local Businesses Run More Efficiently

The Muskingum County Chamber of Commerce would like local business owners to know that there are several programs that could potentially ease some of the everyday strain of running their business.
The Chamber will be rolling out this year’s Safety Council program. It’s a membership group that focuses on workplace safety.
“Once a month, you attend a virtual meeting to learn about improving safety in the workplace. The advantage of improving that in the workplace is employees get to go home to their families at night, better safety, better production, more efficient, more money that the businesses can make. So it’s very important to learn how to improve safety and wellness in the workplace,” President of the Chamber of Commerce Dana Matz said.
The Chamber also offers assistance in getting managed healthcare to members who are sole proprietors.
“In the past, if you were a one person operation you were unable to get managed health care. Now, Chamber’s partnership with SOCA (Southern Ohio Chambers Alliance) we can help you hook up with local insurance agencies that write the SOCA policies for sole proprietors,” Matz added.
