Muskingum County has a new flag

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – The Muskingum County Board of Commissioners unveiled the new official county flag.

According to a press release from the commissioners, more than 40 designs were submitted by community members. The selected design was created by an anonymous contributor.

The commissioners said in a joint statement that they were overwhelmed by the community’s response to the contest, and they appreciate every individual who wanted to help create a lasting symbol for the community.

The new flag will be displayed at county facilities, public events, ceremonies, and community celebrations.
