Muskingum County Home Renewal Levy

When voters head to the may primary this year, they will see a renewal levy for the Muskingum County Home on the ballot.

Muskingum County Commissioners adopted a resolution to submit the issue to the Muskingum County Board of Elections on January 14th.

It’s a facility that Commissioner John Bates says is needed in this county.

"There’s two sides to the story. People think that we don’t need it, but there’s a lot of support that think we do need it. That levy has passed for 170 years, " says Bates.

Bates says it gives people a place to turn when they have no where else to go.
