ZANESVILLE, OH – This week’s dog of the week is a multitalented pup.

Meet Autumn! She’s a 1-year-old husky mix who’s spayed, good with other dogs as well as kids, and is searching for her forever home.

Doug McQuaid, a Volunteer at the K-9 Adoption Center, says Autumn came to them a few weeks ago as a stray, but that’s not stopping her dazzling personality from shining through.

“Walks very well on a leash, we found out also she even knows a few tricks.” McQuaid said. “She’ll actually sit, shake a paw, give high 5’s, for a treat. So that’s exceptional, and it seems like other things we’re trying to teach her, she’s trying to learn very quickly so just be a great dog for a family.”

McQuaid says due to her age, Autumn would need to go on a lot of walks to help burn off some of that puppy energy.

He also wanted to extend a thank you to the community for coming together and donating some milk bone treats for some pups in need.

“We got an abundance of them in.” McQuaid said. “Our pets here at the K-9 Adoption Center enjoy them everyday, so I just wanted to thank everybody. It just means so much to them, it helps us be able to do different things with them, a lot of times we find out different things. They can sit, stay, shake, different things so it works out very well.”
