Muskingum County K-9 Adoption Center Dog of the Week; Meet Bear!

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – This week’s pet of the week is an unbearably good boy. Meet Bear, the 8-year-old German Shepherd mix and K-9 Adoption Center Volunteer, Doug McQuaid, said he would make a good dog for anybody to take home.
“He can sit, stay, shake and heal. he walks well on a leash. With his size and his energy he would need to go on daily walks. We found out he does do good with dogs and kids. No cats or livestock, the owner did tell us that,” McQuaid said.
The Muskingum County Sheriff’s K-9 Adoption Center is looking for foster homes to help care for and learn about the dogs who are hoping to find their forever homes. For those who already have dogs, the adoption center is offering a service to help you keep track of your four-legged friend.
“We’re offering microchipping. It’s $25 cash, it is by appointment only. So if that’s something you’re interested in, please call the K-9 Adoption Center and arrange an appointment and we’ll gladly get you fixed up,” McQuaid said.
