Muskingum County K-9 Adoption Center Dog of the Week; Meet Kixx!

ZANESVILLE, OH – This Week’s Dog of the Week is a sweet and gentle pooch.

Meet Kixx! He’s a 3-year-old terrier mix who’s neutered, keeps a clean kennel, and is eagerly looking for his forever family.

Doug McQuaid, a Volunteer at the K-9 Adoption Center, said recently Kixx attended the Paws and Poses Yoga class, hosted by OUZ Students at the YMCA, and he was a fan favorite.

“He was actually with Panther, one of our other dogs that’s here.” McQuaid said. “He seemed to do good with that and he loved everyone he came into contact with. It seemed like all the different things that were going on and when they were doing the yoga, he just seemed to fit right in.”

McQuaid said Kixx would do well in a home with other dogs and is great with kids over the age of 10.

He also wanted to remind the community that their annual Smooches for Pooches fundraiser at Merle Norman Cosmetics is still going on until the end of the month.

“I’m sure that they would love for you to stop in and see them.” McQuaid said. “We’ve got our t-shirts on sale for $5, all colors and sizes.”
