Muskingum County K-9 Adoption Center Dog of the Week: Meet Lettie!

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – A young puppy, eager to learn takes the spotlight for this weeks Dog of the Week. Meet Lettie, a 30 pound, 6-month old, hound mix who is up to date on all her shots, spayed, and and very affectionate.

“Does very well with other dogs, walks very well on a leash, loves treats and also toys. She’s just now starting to learn some commands. So, with her being just a pup, you know we talk about this often, you know with a little bit of training and routine. Sometimes it’s very easy to get them house-broke. She seems to want to learn well with a lot of different things we’re trying to be actively training her with so she would just be a great pup for about anybody,” said Doug McQuaid, a volunteer at the K-9 Adoption Center,

McQuaid wanted to share that there are plenty of pups like Lettie ready to find a home and that the center has resources to help care for the dog you may already have.

“We have plenty of food to give away to the community. If that’s something you need, stop by or give us a call. We’ll get you fixed up with that. We currently have a lot of pups, actually, that are available for adoption immediately. We’ve had a lot of them come in.”
