Muskingum County K9 Adoption Center announces Luke as Dog of the Week!

21 7 6 Dog Of The Week Luke

ZANESVILLE, Ohio- The Muskingum County Canine Adoption Center is happy to announce Luke, a mixed breed dog, as pet of the week!

The adoption center says Luke is very energetic and excitable yet at the same time equally as low maintenance when he has a toy or treat in front of him.

“This is Luke… He came to us in June, actually came in with another dog so we’re pretty sure he’s dog friendly… He’s self occupied when he has toys and so forth. He pretty much entertains himself. So, and like I said… he’s very excited when he first goes out and wants to kind of run around a little bit. You kind of just need to hang on, but like I said as the walk proceeds, you know he walks very well,” Doug McQuaid, a volunteer with the Muskingum County K9 Adoption Center stated.

The adoption center says he loves attention and will absorb any and all of it that he can get. They also stated that with Luke being so energetic and friendly, he’d make a great companion to anyone who can provide him with an active life.

“Just with his disposition and his manner, he’s very friendly. So I’d think he’d make anybody a great pet. You know what I mean? If you had a fenced in yard, or somewhere where he could run, he loves to run. Or if you’re a runner, you could have him and go with walks and runs. He’s very active… A very active lifestyle is what he deserves,” McQuaid added.

Luke is adoption ready, is caught up on all his vaccinations and is already neutered, and if you’d like to see if he and your current dogs or children will get along, you can set up an appointment with the Muskingum County Pet Adoption Center. You can learn more information on the Center’s Facebook page or Website.
