Muskingum County Library Undergoing Changes To IRS Form Distributions

Tax season will soon be upon us and there will be some changes regarding IRS forms at the Muskingum County Library.

There have been significant cuts in the IRS appropriations in the 2015 Omnibus Appropriations Bill. This means that the library is unable to receive the quantity of paper forms that they have in years past. Assistant Director of the Library System, Blair Tom told us what forms will be available.

“We did learn today we will be receiving 1040, 1040A, and 1040EZ forms and we think the supply we get will be adequate based on past use. However we wont be receiving the instruction sheets in paper form. ”

According to Tom, the library is one of the main sources for paper forms in the county. Library customers depend on these forms, so tom told us how they will be creating a solution to the problem.

“We will have some of the forms available on tables as we always have and the ones that we don’t, we’ll either have copies that are reproducible that they can photocopy, or give them online access and assist them with that if they’re not comfortable with computers.”

Tom says the forms will be available for access sometime in the near future.
