Muskingum County Residents Turn Out for Election Day

ZANESVILLE, OH – Residents in Muskingum County were out Tuesday, making sure their voice was heard.
Polling locations here in Ohio opened at 6:30AM and will close at 7:30PM.
The Muskingum County Center for Seniors was just one of those polling locations and residents were out in waves to cast their ballot.
Dellena Morton, one voter, said she like many Americans, wanted her opinion to be heard.
“That it helps us get better people in office,” Morton explained. “That will, you know, go for our rights and not try to get the billionaires money.”
Flora Martin, another voter, says she was a part of the first group of 18-year-olds that were allowed to vote and she’s only missed one election since then.
She said the right to vote on Election Day is one she takes very seriously.
“It’s a right that we have, a lot of people don’t have, that we do have a voice,” Martin said. “We need to exercise that right to use our voice in a way that’s good for us.”
