Muskingum Valley Park District to Host Annual Trail of Treats

ZANESVILLE, OH – The Muskingum Valley Park District is getting ready for a night full of fun and treats.
The Park District will be hosting their annual Trail of Treats event on Saturday night from 5 to 7PM on the Collegial Woods Trail.
Michelle Illing, the Administrative Assistant with the Park District, says 24 local businesses will be out on the trail, handing out over 1,000 pieces of candy.
“We use the Collegial Woods for this Trail because it has easy access for the vendors to come and set up and we like to align them on the trail.” Illing said. “It also has a big parking lot, thanks to sharing this with the campuses.”
Willow Fracker, a Volunteer, says this is the first year she has volunteered for the Trail of Treats event.
She says it has been an amazing time getting everyone to come together for a fun time with friends and family.
“It has been so much fun, trying to figure out our booth theme has been beyond joyful, beyond fantastic.” Fracker said. “Just getting all the candy and getting excited, knowing that all of the kids are going to come out, and the adults, and teens, and anybody can come and trick or treat and just have a great Halloween time.”
There will also be a prize for the booth with the most votes from the Fan Favorite competition.
The Trail of Treats is free and open to the public.
