MVHC Players of the Game – Week Nine

ZANESVILLE, OH – Week nine brought us some memorable moments on the football field, whether it was title winning games or even double overtime thrillers.
As always, the MVHC Players of the Game are chosen from each of our three radio broadcasts each week.
A game for the games on z92 saw Tri-Valley knock off Sheridan, 35-29 in a double overtime spectacle, which gave the “Dawgs” a share of the MVL big school title. The running game paved the way, accounting for all five scores in the game, and offensive lineman Logan McClellan was up in the trenches, clearing space all night long.
Applause goes out to the New Lexington Panthers, who wrapped up their second consecutive outright small school division title after a 45-6 win over Crooksville on Highway 103. Whether on offense or special teams, junior Tyson Spicer did a little bit of everything, accounting for two scores, including a 70-yard punt return in the win.
If nothing else, Rosecrans has been resilient this season. With injuries clouding the team, the Bishops have powered through, winning three of their last four games. From our game on AM 1240, senior quarterback Hayden Perdue led the way in a 37-0 shutout over Millersport with 13 of 21 passing for 157 yards and two touchdowns.
Congratulations to all three athletes.
