ZANESVILLE, OH – With an exciting week one of the 2025 high school football season come and gone, that only means that there are players of the game to announce, brought to you by MVHC.

Starting with Thursday night’s action on Z92, Tri-Valley topped Meadowbrook, 48-28, and quite possibly found a new star in the process, as sophomore running back Levi Wade found the end zone four times in the win.

Meanwhile, the other Thursday night game was broadcasted live on Highway 103, where West Muskingum rolled over Lakewood with a 42-0 win. Now at the top of the Tornadoes depth chart sits senior quarterback Braxton Brownrigg, who finished with two touchdowns and 200 yards of total offense.

Moving onto Friday’s Highway 103 game, Maysville’s stunned John Glenn with an overtime, in which the defense led the comeback in the 20-19 victory, specifically Keaton Bryan’s key interception late in that one.

The home of Zanesville, AM1240 followed the Blue Devils out to Johnstown, and despite a tough result, junior defensive end Caden Carr finished with eight tackles, two of which for loss as well as a forced fumble.

Finally, we return to Z92’s action between Licking Valley and Sheridan on Friday, and against a tough Panthers squad, the Generals found the end zone once, courtesy of senior running back Logan Jones.

The ‘Players of the Game’, brought to you by MVHC, will be revealed every Monday throughout the high school football season.
